My friend Ola was in need of a dresser so a few months ago we hunted one down at Aberfoyle Antique Market. It was solid wood, but in pretty rough shape. I gave it a new life with a good sand, a couple coats of paint, a little stain and new crystal knobs. Voila!
i love my new dresser, thanks again Renee, it looks awesome in my room...also totally forgot the rough shape it was in until I saw the "before" photo....you are so talented!!!
I have admired, seeing it on various blogs for so long, and just spent 30 minutes trying to find it again so that I could pin it. Do you by any chance remember what color grey you used? I love it!
@Sarah - I'm so glad you love it! I used a Martha Stewart warm grey colour (sorry I can't remember the colour name) and used a walnut coloured stain on top. Hope that helps!
Great job, Renee!
ReplyDeleteOoooo I love how you left some of the drawers natural - lovely job!

Wow this is beautiful! Did you sand down the unpainted drawers and stain them, or just clean them up with polish or something?
ReplyDeleteLooks great...but I think this dresser was worth a lot of money before you painted it... :(
