Here's Kate!
My very favorite dessert recipe is one I haven't been making for long, but I make it so often that I know it by heart. I came across the recipe on The Black Apple that a friend tweeted and I've been making it often ever since. Not only because they're delicious, but because they're SO EASY to make. (Perhaps a little too easy?) The only thing I add to Emily's recipe is sea salt, which is actually pretty key to making these brownies go from delicious to mind blowing. But, if you're a party pooper and don't enjoy sweet and salty, I suppose I'll forgive you and you can make them sans sea salt (insert sad trombone sound here). Onward!
You'll need a medium sized pot, parchment, an 8" sq. baking dish - metal or glass, and parchment paper (don't skip out on the parchment paper, I find it pretty important to the recipe. Once I got cocky and didn't use it because I was too lazy to buy it and the brownies were not the same.)

Oh my gosh, these looks SO good.
ReplyDeleteI know I'm going love sea salt brownies - what a fab combo!
ReplyDeletethat recipe is way too easy. it's a keeper!

ReplyDeletethe second I saw this post I realized I had all the ingredients so I made 'em. oh my, they are the best brownies ever. I made them again today with shredded coconut and toasted almonds, so good again. they are crispy on the edges and gooey inside and with a great rich vanilla flavor....
